All Window and Door products specified with Peak Performance Dual Pane Glass with Low-E and Argon or Super Peak Performance Triple Pane Glass with Low-E and Krypton are ENERGY STAR qualified in all 50 states. Zen Windows and patio doors are NFRC rated, certified and labeled for both U-factor ( heat loss ) and solar heat gain ( heat from sunlight. ) ENERGY STAR is a government-supported program developed to simplify purchasing decisions for consumers by assuring products meet or exceed strict energy efficiency criteria set by the U. S. Department of Energy. NFRC's programs do not distinguish between "good" and "bad" windows, set minimum performance standards, or mandate performance levels. This is where ENERGY STAR comes in.
